Text Box: Notable Rescues This page provides a summary of the notable rescues undertaken by, or where there has been participation of, Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards. The listings below do not contain all recorded incidents, since the majority are of a minor nature, but never the less, are necessary. Descriptions of the events are provided to give some indication of the type of rescues that have been undertaken by PSVL. All rescues are officially recorded and provided to the relevant bodies, such as the Royal Life Saving Society and HM Coastguard.
