Community Responders

are volunteers who give their time to help save lives in their community. They are trained by Hampshire Ambulance in basic life support, the use of AED's and the treatment and control of a wide range of potentially life threatening conditions.

Solent Sea Rescue Organisation/Units

A registered charity, set up in 1977, the SSRO co-ordinates individual inshore rescue services, like PSVL,  providing safety cover for people and craft in the Solent and around the coast of the Isle of Wight.

The emergency and rescue services are those who should be contacted in an emergency on 999. Be prepared to say who you are, your telephone number, the service you require and the nature of the emergency.
