This page provides a summary of forthcoming courses which are either pool or beach based courses leading to a Royal Life Saving Society award. Course spaces can sometimes be limited, so it is advisable to register your interest in any particular course.

Text Box: The Assistant Beach Lifesaving Award is designed to for those who aspire to become a Beach Lifeguard and the National Beach Lifeguard Qualification. It provides an introduction to the training, skill and knowledge required to achieve a beach lifesaving award.

Text Box: The National Beach Lifeguard Qualification is a nationally recognised award designed to establish competence for beach lifeguards who are responsible for the safety of those using open water locations for recreational purposes.

Text Box: The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is designed to meet the legal requirements of pool lifeguards and managers, combining an objective independent test of lifesaving skills with a structured learning and assessment programme in pool supervision skills.

Text Box: The Life Support 1 award aims to establish a competent level of knowledge and skill to administer basic life support including the diagnosis and treatment of choking, bleeding and shock.
