Fund Raising

As a Voluntary organisation with charitable status, Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards rely on the generosity of the general public for survival and preservation rescue cover for those members of the public who find themselves in difficulties within the Portsmouth and Southsea marine environment.

 

Over the years there have been appeals for all manner of equipment and facilities. The focus for the current Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguard appeal is for a New Lifeguard Headquarters.

 

We raise funds in a number of different ways from direct collections such as authorised street collections, at locations throughout Portsmouth,    selling Portsmouth and Southsea Lifeguards memorabilia and second hand items, mainly books.

 

We would be happy to receive any unwanted books, as well as mobile phones and used postage stamps, all can be handed in at our current Headquaters, at the Rock Gardens, on Southsea Sea Front.
